What is The Hip and Happening Group?

The Hip and Happening Group (THHG) is an avant-garde hospitality consultancy and management company led by a team of passionate travel enthusiasts with a penchant for transforming spaces into hip and desirable destinations, and revolutionizing travel experiences. We are a one-stop network for the hospitality industry, providing turnkey hospitality management services targeted at experiential tourism, content creation, operational excellence, and franchising. Our operations span Asia, with a focus on Southeast Asia, including owned and operated, and franchised properties and hospitality offerings such as hostels, hotels, resorts, and leisure activities.

At our core lie community, connection, and the courage to explore and create unconventional hospitality experiences that are groundbreaking yet authentic, and which elicit joy.

Where are your operations located?

We are headquartered in Singapore, and own and operate properties across Asia. Currently, these are located in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and include Rucksack Inn and The Rucksack, our own brand of properties, as well as managed properties like ANMON, located in Bintan, Indonesia. Our expansion plans include operations in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines where we look forward to receiving guests in 2022 at our new beach hostel at the surf paradise of Siargao.

What does THHG mean?

Our name is reflective of our personality as well as personal philosophy to stay current, relevant, and always growing with the times. We believe that we should always push the boundaries of our comfort zone and are committed to responsible growth, development and to bettering ourselves and our business for sustainable purposes.
